What’s Your Comms Word for 2024?
Calling all Southeast Michigan nonprofit/foundation communications professionals! You’re invited to join ComNetwork Detroit for our first gathering of 2024!
Come enjoy coffee, bagels, networking time and an informal discussion and table conversations around the prompt, “What’s your 2024 comms word of the year?”
If you’ve never picked a word of the year, it’s a simple practice of setting an annual word as an intention to guide decisions and spark reflection throughout the year. As communications professionals, especially during the intense planning weeks of a new year, it can feel overwhelming to consider all the deliverables, stories, messages, channels, events, campaigns, etc. that make up a year. A word can ground you and provide a guidepost to return to (along with a deep breathe) when deadlines approach, media hits land, and social media sites change for the umpteenth time.
This will be a loosely organized session with lots of time to meet your peers. Come get a little more connected to your communications community and leave with a word to make 2024 a spectacular (we hope!) year.

ComNetwork Detroit events are intended to bring together those who call themselves professional communicators and who work in or with in clients in the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.
