ComNetworkSEATTLE at the Gates Foundation Discovery Center
Join us for an in-person happy hour jointly hosted by ComNetworkSEATTLE and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Discovery Center. This will be an opportunity to mix and mingle with other local communications professionals, and tour the Discovery Center’s recently opened exhibition: A Better Way to Go: Toilet and the Future of Sanitation.
The Discovery Center is having some fun with the future of sanitation, including a display on futuristic toilets that require no water and process their own … stuff. Seriously, though, it’s an important topic. Nearly half the world’s population has no access to sanitation, and the rest of us are working with aging infrastructure that’s going to be tested by climate change. This exhibition is filled with art, creativity, and innovation.

Transportation: Visit the Discovery Center’s website for directions and transportation information.
Parking is complimentary for this event in the Seattle Center Parking Garage on 5th Ave N only. After parking in the garage and pulling a ticket, please bring your parking ticket into the Discovery Center so we may validate it for you. Do not pay in advance and, if there is an attendant, let them know you are there for a Gates Foundation event. Before exiting the garage, insert the validated parking ticket into the payment machine.
