Ballots are still being counted, but the election is now over.

This was one of wildest election cycles ever for political communications, starting with the pandemic upending everything we know about communications strategy. What was it like to work on campaigns and to cover such an unusual election?

Join us on Thursday, Nov. 19 for a conversation with top political communicators in Washington and a journalist who covered our state’s elections all year.

Our panel includes:

  • Katie Rogers, communications director for Planned Parenthood Votes Northwest and Hawaii

  • Nilofar Ganjaie, political and communications director for Washington Democratic Senate Campaign

  • Rich Smith, staff writer at The Stranger

We will discuss what worked, what didn’t, and what’s next for our state and region. How did COVID-19 and protests affect communications this year? What kind of earned media pitches were more successful than others? Will any changes in 2020 carry into future election cycles?

Note: This panel will be a nonpartisan discussion of communications strategy, not for or against any candidate.

Registration Required!
