Science – broadly speaking – is vitally important to society RIGHT NOW. However, many scientists (and the science & philanthropic communities) possess limited communications talents which often leads to a failure to engage the general public, influencers, and policy makers around important work and breakthroughs. This predictable – yet fixable – outcome results in a self-fulfilling cycle of limited understanding, reduced respect, poor advocacy, and sub-optimal funding and support for basic and applied science.
This discussion will share and consider compelling strategies and innovations in science communications and storytelling to effectively connect with a variety of non-science audiences.
