Chiara Wegener

About

Chiara Wegener joined the Nellie Mae Education Foundation in 2012. Previously, Chiara worked at YouthBuild Boston, an alternative education program for underserved youth in the City of Boston. At YouthBuild Boston, she was responsible for building up the organization’s social media presence, coordinating public relations and writing the organization’s newsletter.

Chiara has also worked as a reporter for a NPR affiliate station in New York City, WFUV News, and at MY TURN, Inc., a Massachusetts-based nonprofit helping first generation college students succeed, and helping high school drop-outs get back on track to school. She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and urban studies from Fordham University and a master's degree in corporate and organizational communications from Northeastern University.
