Tasasha Henderson
About
Tasasha is responsible for highlighting the Foundation’s impact and uplifting the work of our grantees through strategic communications and working collaboratively with the program team to elevate and evaluate grantmaking activities and provide administrative support.
She has experience in fundraising, program development, and communications. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as the Manager of Corporate & Foundation Giving at Umoja Student Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization that builds deep social-emotional learning skills in educators to transform the ways young people experience school and the ways schools exist to serve society.
Tasasha is passionate about racial, gender and economic equity and justice, and is currently a member of Chicago Foundation for Women’s Women United Giving Council, and Chicago Women in Philanthropy’s Racial Equity & Social Justice and G.I.R.L.S. committees. In 2016, she also participated in the Crossroads Fund Giving Project to support organizations building grassroots movements for social change. Tasasha has a Master of Science degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University and Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/TV/Film from Indiana State University.
